Midlands Hockey's High Performance Camps are coming back once again, but in 2011, things will be a bit different.  With the introduction in 2010 of the Fetch programme providing a pre-season upskilling opportunity, the summer camps will place a much heavier emphasis on decision making exercises and small games, ensuring that you leave the camps with better decision-making skills and an increased understanding of hockey.

Camps this year are by invitation only and if you played representative age group hockey within the Midlands region in 2010, you will receive an invitation before the end of September 2010.  If you played rep hockey this year, and do not receive an invitation by this time, please email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Camp Dates

The Midlands Hatch/Collier camp:
For players eligible for Hatch and Collier in 2011: 
Tuesday 11th January 2011:  9.00am - Friday 14th January 2011:  4.00pm

The Midlands U15 camp:
For players eligible for U15 representative hockey in 2011:
Monday 17th January: 9.00am – Thursday 20th January:  4.00pm

The Midlands U18 camp:
For players eligible for U18 representative hockey in 2011:
Thursday 13th January:  9.00am - Saturday 15th January: 4.00pm

Venue

The Hatch/Collier and U15 camps will once again be held at St Pauls Collegiate School, 77 Hukanui Road, Hamilton.

The U18 camp will stay at the Wintec Hostel in Collingwood Street, Hamilton and train at the Gallagher Hockey Centre.

Cost 

The Hatch/Collier and U15 camps run for four days and three nights.  The total cost of these camps is $483.

The U18 camp is slightly shorter (three days and two nights) and costs $395.

Registration

Registration for the camps this year couldn't be easier. Once you receive your invitation, please follow these five steps and in no time you will have booked your place on the 2011 Midlands Summer Camps:

1. Complete all sections of the Registration Form - please note that a contact email address is compulsory this year - it is the most efficient way for me to contact you in regard to the camp.
2. Post the completed form to:  Midlands Hockey,  PO Box 1461, Waikato Mail Centre, Hamilton 3240.
3. On receipt of your registration form, I will email you an invoice for the total camp cost.  At this point, you can either pay the invoice in full, or pay a deposit of $100 to secure your place at the camp.  If you choose to pay by Internet banking, please ensure that you include your surname and the invoice number as the payment reference for all payments that you make. 
4. The balance of the payment is due before 20 December 2010.
5. Once you've registered, I'll email you some more general information about your camp.
